In short: ASP and ASP.NET are not available on Virgo Networks shared or reseller hosting, which runs Linux with PHP-based hosting tools.
Suitable alternatives
- For a current cross-platform ASP.NET Core application, use a VPS or dedicated server with a supported Linux distribution if the application and its dependencies support Linux.
- For classic ASP, Windows-only .NET Framework applications, IIS or other Windows-specific components, choose a correctly licensed Windows VPS or dedicated server.
Check the application, not only the language: Database engines, Windows authentication, COM components, file paths and third-party libraries can determine whether an application can move to Linux.
