In short: Your Client Area owner, authorised users, billing contacts and domain registrant details are separate records. Change the correct record and verify the result rather than assuming one update changes everything.
Which details do you need to change?
- Account owner: the person or organisation responsible for the Virgo Networks customer account.
- Authorised user: someone invited to sign in with selected permissions.
- Contact: a billing, technical or administrative contact used for notices and tickets.
- Domain registrant: the legal holder and registry contact information for a domain.
- WHOIS/RDAP display: the public or redacted view of registry data; this may be cached by third-party lookup sites.
Client Area users and contacts
Use User Management to invite a person with their own login. Do not share the owner's password or two-factor authentication. Review permissions when roles change.
Changing domain contacts
Open the domain in the Client Area and use the available contact-management option. Some extensions require email approval, identity checks or processing by the registry. Updating the domain contact does not change its nameservers or DNS records.
Check the authoritative registry or RDAP result after the change. A third-party WHOIS website may continue to display an older cached result for a while.
If the option is unavailable or rejected
Open a support ticket from an authorised account. Identify the exact domain and fields that must change, but do not send identity documents unless support specifically requests them through an approved secure method.
